Often, the way that we exercise and hold power and authority goes awry in relationship with others, especially youth. If we are to help girls live radically in the full truth of who they are and determine they want to be, we need to model how to use power in affirming and life-giving ways.

In this course, we will define power, the problem with 'empowerment' and how we can cultivate relationships and create environments that support youth in harnessing their innate power. We will discuss how to exercise caring authority that honors self-efficacy of our youth. Each learner will have access to a course workbook with resources and discussion questions to guide each module.
